Hackathon at the Nebraska Transportation Center

Test your skills and work to improve transportation safety at the Transportation Data Challenge Hackathon. Hosted by the Midwest Big Data Hub and Bridging Big Data Project Team, the hackathon takes place at the Nebraska Transportation Center (University of Nebraska-Lincoln).

Focus areas for this hackathon include:

  • How might we improve bike/pedestrian safety in our communities?
  • How might we improve transportation safety in extreme weather? In cases of crises?

This hackathon is intended to create and strengthen collaborative data science projects that advance transportation safety. Students will work in teams in an open and creative thinking format. Mentors will be available to consult with teams and share best practices for data hacking! Travel support and prizes will be sponsored by the Midwest Big Data Hub.
